I'm Emily
Hi,
The founder of Studio A!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet!
I’m a photographer, content creator, and videographer who’s obsessed with all things funky, colourful, and eye-catching. ✨

When I’m not creating, you’ll find me with my two little sidekicks - Gus & Gimli. Gus, my cat, was quite literally handed to me by the cat distribution system and Gimli, my wire-haired mini dachshund, is aptly named after the dwarf from Lord of the Rings.

Studio A wasn’t *exactly* a part of the plan
It was one of those beautiful surprises that life throws at you. Before this, I was all about videography, starting at just 14 years old. By 19, I had my dream job in the industry. But then... 2020 happened. Losing my job over COVID hit hard, and for a while, I lost my creative spark. I stepped away from big-time videography and started experimenting with photography again - something I’d always loved but never imagined turning into a business.
My story
this was what I was meant to do.
Since portraiture wasn’t an option during social distancing, I pivoted to product photography. I spent hours perfecting my skills, learning from incredible creators, and falling in love with the process. That’s when it clicked.

A Neurospicy Twist
Around this same time, I was also diagnosed with autism and ADHD, which suddenly made my entire life make so much sense. Why I’d been so laser-focused on working in film from such a young age, why I learned things so quickly, why I could see entire concepts play out in my head like a movie before I even picked up a camera.

When a client describes an idea to me, I don’t just imagine it: I see it, crystal clear, like a built-in AI generator (but better, because I’m human).
My brain is wired for creativity, problem-solving, and making bold, eye-catching visuals that stand out. It’s not just a part of who I am, it’s what makes my work different.
I’ve built my business to fit me
Empower
Growth
I love connecting with people, but my social battery runs out quicker than most.
So I’ve built my business to fit me.
Product photography is my sweet spot (because, let’s be real, products don’t talk back!), but I also adore in-person shoots, especially behind-the-brand content for businesses. I just space them out to keep the balance right.
